IMC In Recap
Tomorrow marks the end of summer classes at Virginia Tech. I took three classes this summer and my favorite one has to be my integrated marketing communication class (IMC). Why? Mainly because this class incorporated real world tools that can actually help me in the future. I think this is something that is missed a lot of times in academia. A lot of the time, what we learn in the classroom only applies to the classroom. Not with this class. I know have multiple social media platforms at my fingertips and my Klout score has advanced tremendously. Basically, this class got me up to date as far as social media goes and taught me tools that I will need in the future as this class has made me realize that the future of marketing (maybe everything) is in the hands of social media. It also gave me that great real world experience that cant be compensated for with books and tests (check out my wix for more info - healthy kids campaign). Thanks Lauren for giving me and the rest of the class an edge on the competition out there.
